The staff is wonderful. They fulfill every thing I might need. The people who stay here are all kinds. But you accept it and deal with it with kindness & warmth. I looked at other places and it could not compare to this place. I have no problem with getting along with others. They have great activities here, which you can join in. “IT’S GREAT”

My wife has been a resident of Vallhaven now for three years. I can say she has received nothing but excellent care. The CNAs, nurses and staff have always been very professional. Any questions I have had always been answered at once or in a very short time.
I reported to the state inspections in a long discussion that the building, floors, bedding, have always been very clean and odor free. I also told them that the help has always been very professional, helpful and courteous with the residents.
Vallhaven also has a program called Angel Care. Each resident is assigned a special staff member to be the resident's angel. I have found this program to be exceptional and a great personal touch for the residents and family members.
I would recommend Vallhaven to anyone.

I have been a resident at Vallhaven Care Center for 3 ½ years. I find this facility staff to be outstanding. They have good nurses and nursing assistants. Food service here is also very good and the dietary staff is the best.
The activity department is always keeping us busy with all kinds of wonderful things. The entertainment they have is the best. Holidays at Vallhaven are tops. This facility has wonderful holiday parties.
The therapy department and exercise equipment is modern and easy to use.
Their housekeeping department does a fine job of keeping everything very clean.
Many improvements have been done to keep the building tiptop. The heating is near perfect in this building. Vallhaven also has an excellent maintenance crew. They are on top of every request that is made of them.
The laundry department runs smoothly. The staff pulls together when needed.
My family is also pleased with all of the services Vallhaven Care Center has to offer. I couldn’t ask for a better place to live.

This place is wonderful. It’s the most outstanding in the Valley. I have been to other nursing homes and this is the friendliest, compassionate and well taken care of facility. Nothing compares to Vallhaven.
Activities are wonderful. They have great entertainment and a variety of things to do. They are always coming around and asking us for our input. We have Angels. What other place has Angels?
My chair was broken and maintenance was there right away to repair it.
The food is very good and they ask if we are satisfied or if we have any preferences. They adjust to meet our needs.
Laundry does a good job of getting our clothes washed and back in our closets in a timely manner.
From the bottom up everyone here is concerned about our needs and our happiness. The staff is always looking to better our lives here. They meet all of our needs.

Our father, Carl, has been a resident at Vallhaven for a little over two years. When the time came that our mother also needed the care that we as children could not provide, the staff of Vallhaven was extremely accommodating in making a room available where they can spend the remainder of their lives together.
On numerous visits, both on weekends and during the normal work week, we have all been impressed with the care and compassion exhibited the staff of Vallhaven. The cleanliness of the facility has been outstanding, even during the times of inclement weather when all visitors drag the slop from the outdoors inside.
Our parents comment frequently that the meals are very good and that they get enough to eat. This past Christmas my wife and I joined them for Christmas dinner. Dad wasn't feeling well, as often is the case, and the staff brought dinner to their room with smiles on their faces and no complaints. Thank you!
We realize that working with seniors, especially those with various infirmities, is often a challenging task. However, your staff seems to handle the situations we have observed with professionalism, empathy and warmth.
I wish I could recall all the names of the staff that I've had the pleasure of dealing with, but I'm extremely bad with names. However, two that I'm frequently in contact with are Shelly L. in social services and Lori in the business office. These two are outstanding examples of professionalism, helpfulness and empathy and from what I've observed I'm sure this is indicative of your staff. You are special people! God Bless!Dan M.
My husband, Dick, was here three years ago and they did him so much good. When the doctors told me I had to have my foot amputated and go to a nursing home, I said it had to be Vallhaven. I couldn’t believe how much better Dick is and neither can my children. They all think Vallhaven is excellent!

I’ve been a volunteer for Vallhaven Care Center for six years and have loved every minute of it. Everyone is very nice and polite. The people that work here are very helpful. The residents are happy and joyful.
The food is good. I know, I was a resident here at Vallhaven for three weeks when I had a total knee replacement. I had great care.
My boss Sandy is a great person and she helps whenever possible. I hope I have many more years as a volunteer at Vallhaven Care Center.

In December 2008 I took a vacation to Reno, NV. After I arrived at the motel, I was in the process of taking my jacket off when I fell. They called 911 and I was taken to the hospital. I was then flown back to Wisconsin where I came to Vallhaven Care Center for therapy.
After my fall I got to meet Shelly, Cindy and staff. I was assigned to a nice room and the people helping me were good. I didn’t realize the shape I was in and that I needed help. It’s the first time I had to depend on help other than my family. They have expert nurses taking care of the people and plenty of activities where they are not left alone.
The thing I notice the more than anything is how well they take care of senior citizens. One of the main reasons I came here is they show you respect.

In December 2002, I had to make a quick decision where to place my husband Larry.
I chose Vallhaven Care Center because of the convenience and the location, which is less than 15 minutes from my home.
Now six years later I realize it was a perfect choice.
The facility is clean, cheery and has a family atmosphere. The food has always been very good and everyone has always treated Larry with special and loving care.

Vallhaven is a very nice place. My wife Norma is a permanent resident here and I was a resident in October 2008 after my operation. I was treated very well. I lost my wedding ring, and Dietary Manager Tammy Rolf looked for me and found it in the resident’s tomato patch. I was very happy and grateful that she took the time.

Vallhaven was just the place for my dad/husband as he recovered from two serious surgeries which were followed by spending a significant time in ICU followed by care in the cardiology critical care unit at the hospital. He wasn’t able to come home and we needed to find a place that we could trust. The transition was smooth as the admissions coordinator came right to the hospital to give us information, share the specifics of what was available and answer our questions. We found the care center pleasant and accommodating. After another visit from the admissions coordinator to find out more information, arrangements were made to place him with a roommate having similar health issues and interests. His special requests for food and beverage were incorporated into his meals.
Although my dad/husband was quite weak, the therapy department did wonders to have him up and exercising every one of the 25 days he was at Vallhaven. Before coming home for homebound rehabilitation, two of the therapists came over to see how my dad/husband would be able to maneuver through the house, give ideas to make the home more "user friendly" for him and answer a multitude of questions.
We received the best Christmas present ever when he arrived home on December 24. Another smooth transition by Vallhaven when a meeting was planned to give us the necessary information, medications and paperwork. They then notified the appropriate people who would be taking over the homebound care which began on December 26.
Thanks to Tammy, a tremendous communicator, as well as therapists and those caretakers who helped make it possible for this wonderful recovery!

I don’t know where to begin or where to start to thank all of you for helping me to get better. I know I worked with almost every one of you at one time or another during my 61 days there. Each one of you always made me feel as though I was the only person there. You were all so thoughtful and helpful I don’t even know how to thank you. All I can say is, I was very lucky to be a patient at Vallhaven.
I know I came down to therapy every day and did the work, but you people made me believe.
So far I am getting along real well at home.
